so from May 8th to 15th, I was on a fantastic school trip to a place in east Sussex called Eastbourne. On Friday the 8th at half past 1 a.m our long journey started!
Our trip was organized by a company called "Tommy Trips" and they did a wonderful job. We got to travel in a double decker bus and on the way there I got to sit at the top, right at the front, I couldn't believe that it was actually happening!!
We stopped every 2-3 hours for a short toilet break and because none of us could really sleep properly we all came out of the bus half dead and wandered around like zombies. After a tiring total of about 15 hours including the ferry, we finally arrived in Eastbourne.
Two friends and I got picked up by a taxi and were brought to a family who we were going to be staying with for the week. We didn't know that the man picking us up was a taxi driver until someone paid him. He didn't say a word to us, so extremely relieved we stepped into an old fashioned but arty house and dragged our luggage to the room which claimed to be ours. The room was coloured orange and pink with: a flatscreen, Sky, 4 beds, huge mirror, PlayStation (that sadly didn't work) and tons of books!
On the first night we stayed up watching Britain's Got Talent which was great seeing as I hadn't seen it in years!
